About the Concert Close Green IT Deployment Program
The Concert Close Green IT Deployment Program specifies the methodology by which nationwide and international multi-location projects are delivered with particular focus on reducing gas and energy consumption as well as the industry’s carbon emissions footprint.
"According to the [Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)], light trucks account for 62% of greenhouse gas emissions," said Dan Murray, VP at Kentrox, in a recent Telephony Online article series by journalist Carol Wilson. "If a large wireless provider with a fleet of 1000 trucks was able to eliminate three truck rolls a week, that would represent a savings of 3.3 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions."
| Addressing this and similar environmental concerns, Concert Close specifically limits travel distances for each truck roll by performing 90% of its national rollouts within 20 miles one-way for urban areas and 40 miles one-way for rural areas.
